WELCOME TO SOUTHEASTERN HOMICIDE INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION (SEHIA)
Mr. Messer entered on duty as an Intelligence Analyst with the FBI in September 2018, and was assigned to the FBI Columbia Division's Field Intelligence Group.
Mr. Messer has served as the primary threat analyst for FBI Columbia for criminal matters including human trafficking, crimes against children, and transnational organized crime. While embedded with the Columbia Division's Myrtle Beach Resident Agency, Mr. Messer supported numerous investigations and intelligence efforts addressing child abductions and homicides, commercial sex trafficking, violent gangs, interstate drug trafficking organizations, and online child sexual exploitation.
Since summer 2024, Mr. Messer was assigned to the Columbia Division's Greenville Resident Agency where he provides intelligence and investigative support for national security matters such as counterintelligence and counterterrorism.
PRESENTATION
DISAPPEARANCE OF BRITTANEE MARIE DREXEL
Presentation will outline the circumstances surrounding the 2009 cold case abduction of Brittanee Drexel. Beginning with her initial trip to Myrtle Beach, days she spent visiting, her disappearance and ultimately, the recovery of her remains. The presentation will focus on the FBI's involvement in the case, our teams review of the case, and investigative strategy, and relationship with the victim’s family.
