WELCOME TO SOUTHEASTERN HOMICIDE INVESTIGATORS ASSOCIATION (SEHIA)
Anthony Rodriguez is a Criminal Investigator with the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney's Office (BCDAO), he holds the rank of Sergeant. He has served as a Criminal Investigator for 12 years with experience assisting prosecutors with trial preparation on charges ranging from drug offenses to capital murders. He has been assigned to felony trial divisions and major crime units for the purposes of providing special attention to high profile cases.
Prior to working with the BCDAO, he was a Sheriff's Deputy for the Bexar County Sheriffs Office (BCSO) for 12 years. He was the Gang Intelligence Officer for 10 of those years. During that time he has appeared on a number of TV shows such as National Geographic's Lockdown (San Antonio Gang War 2010), MSNBC's Lockup Extended Stay (X'd Out, Defiance, Words of a Warrior, Carry that Weight, A House Divided, Love Sick 2012). Furthermore, he has been interviewed as a gang expert on a number of local news stations and on podcasts ("Ordered Hit" The Double Life of Officer Julain Pesina, KSAT).
He is frequently called to testify in District and Federal courts as a gang expert.
Andreen McDonald, A Case Study
This is a panel discussion between the law enforcement investigators from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and attorneys with the Bexar District Attorney’s Office who were assigned to the homicide investigation of Andreen McDonald. The presentation will cover the case from the initial CID response through the trial, addressing important topics such as a multi-agency response to a homicide investigation as well as the successes and pitfalls of the trial.
