ERIKA BROWN

WHERE'S APRIL?

Brown has been a police officer for 14 years, three years as a Sheriff's Deputy at Dakota County Sheriff’s Office, then moving to the Bloomington Police Department.

She has experience as a patrol officer, a mall officer for a year at the Mall of America unit, working in the crime prevention unit, school liaison officer at a high school, and is  currently a detective. For several years, Brown was a use of force instructor and a police explorer advisor. She is part of the peer support team and racial equity action team (REAT).

Brown has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, working in a master’s program for clinical mental health counseling. The ultimate plan is to be a licensed counselor in Minnesota after she retires and work with first responders.

PRESENTATION

WHERE'S APRIL?

In March of 2009 April Pease was staying at a Women's Shelter in Bloomington, MN, with her young son, Adrian. They were in-hiding from April's ex-boyfriend, CM, who was also the Father of Adrian.

Leaving a quasi “confession” video behind, and using whatever means he could to locate her, CM and his current girlfriend went on a multiple day trip to Minnesota, ultimately killing April Pease and arranging for Adrian to look like an abandoned child so that he could gain full custody of the boy.

Lies, deceit, and more murder victims lead to justice for April Pease.
