Simon DeMuri is a 17-year veteran of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
He has worked a multitude of capacities, including patrol, search and rescue, off highway motorcycle (OHV MC) patrol, patrol motorcycles (motor unit) patrol motorcycle instructor, Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) investigations / supervision, station level investigations, homicide investigations, special (internal) investigations, traffic division supervision, field training officer (FTO), and instructor at sheriff’s Advanced Officer Training (AOT).
In 2016 DeMuri was promoted to corporal/detective and in December 2018, assigned to the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail. During his time in the homicide detail, he investigated approximately 90 cases, including murders, multiple victim murders, in custody (arrestee or inmate) deaths, special (internal) investigations, and lethal force encounters (officer involved shootings).
In August 2021, DeMrui was promoted to sergeant and assigned to watch commander duties at the Big Bear Station, San Bernardino County, CA.
