Description: The long term missing case of the McStay family who disappeared from their family home in February of 2010. Their bodies were discovered on November 13, 2013 in the desert near Victorville, California.
Ryan Smith has worked for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for 16 years and is currently a Lieutenant assigned to the Coroner Division. During his career he’s held numerous specialized positions including the Crimes Against Children and Homicide detail. Among his commendations he was recognized for his investigative role in the December 2nd, 2015, Inland Regional Center terrorist attack and the McStay Family homicide investigations. He lives in Southern California with his wife and four children where he enjoys surfing and motocross.
