TOPIC: Long Term Missing: The McStay Family Homicides
The long term missing case of the McStay family who disappeared from their family home in February of 2010. Their bodies were discovered on November 13, 2013 in the desert near Victorville, California.
Melissa Rodriguez graduated from law school in 2004. She initially started her career in Hawaii as a Deputy Attorney General but has been with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office since 2007. She is a Supervising Deputy District Attorney and currently supervises the juvenile division, officer involved shooting division and human trafficking unit.
She has worked in multiple units, including the family violence unit and the major crimes unit. She was appointed to create and lead the first vertical countywide Human Trafficking Unit and successfully prosecuted the first case in the state where a trafficker received life in prison.
She also regularly trains law enforcement in multiple areas and is a subject matter expert in human trafficking.
