Corey Powell is currently an Investigator with the Bell County Sheriff's Department, after retiring from the Temple Police Department. Corey is a 2nd generation law enforcement officer and is the proud father of the 3rd generation of law enforcement officer, who also works as a Deputy for the Bell County Sheriff's Department. 

Powell started his investigative career as a crash investigator while assigned to the traffic unit as a motor officer, assisting in the investigations of fatal crashes. He made Detective and after only a few months, worked his first homicide. Since that time, Powell has worked several homicide cases, being able to attain justice for his victims. Many of his cases have been "who done it's." Powell has made arrest of two different serial killers and was a team member in a Federal RICO case which targeted gang members involved in home invasions/robberies and murders. He continues his work after retiring, attempting to pass along the knowledge he has gain from so many investigators to include the legendary Texas Rangers. 

Powell finds his work as a calling and believes that in homicide, we work for the victims. We become their voice and work to seek those that hide from their devastating actions.
