2023 SEHIA ATTENDEE AND EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Bryan Mitchell is the Deputy Chief of Public Integrity and Chief of the Civil Rights Division of the Dallas County Criminal District Attorney's Office. The Civil Rights Division handles cases involving Officer-Involved Shootings and Deaths in Custody of law enforcement.
Mitchell was was born and raised near Houston Texas and graduated Law School at South Texas College of Law in Houston in 2002. He practiced Civil Law for eight years prior to joining the Dallas County Criminal District Attorney's Office in 2011. Since that time, he has served as a Chief Prosecutor in various County Courts, was in the Crimes Against Children, Family Violence and Public Integrity Divisions. For over six years, Bryan has served as the Chief of Civil Rights Division and Deputy Chief of Public Integrity.
He has tried dozens of jury trials including numerous murders, aggravated sexual assaults of children, aggravated robberies, and burglary of habitations. Several of which have garnered local, national, and international coverage. Mitchell, along with the entire team on the Amber Guyger case, received the 2020 Prosecutor of the Year Award by the State Bar of Texas.
On a personal note, Mitchell is married to Holly and they have two boys. One is currently enrolled at Texas A&M, and the other is a Junior in High School.
