BENJAMIN MAHAFFIE

Benjamin Mahaffie was born in Houston, Texas and spent his adolescence living in The Netherlands. He graduated from Hope College in 2011 (Holland, MI) with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a minor in political science, and g Graduated Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) Police Academy in the Fall of 2011. 

Mahaffie worked as a patrolman at Upper Merion Township Police Department (King of Prussia, PA) from 2012 through May of 2014. He graduated from the Michigan State Police 127th Trooper Recruit School in the fall of 2014. Since graduation Mahaffie has spent time as a road trooper, field training officer, state police fugitive team member, and road sergeant. 

He is currently assigned as the Detective Sergeant with the State Police Major Crimes Unit (MCU) in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and a member of the state police's translator and interpreter program for Dutch and Spanish.
